Mike’s efforts in 2024 have placed him in the top 3% of over 150 Assisted Living Locators franchisees across the country. Even more impressively, our Long Island location is now ranked #5 in the entire national network — a distinction we are deeply honored to receive.
Five Years of Service, Five Years of Impact
The year 2024 marks the fifth year that Assisted Living Locators Long Island has been supporting families across Nassau County and Suffolk County. From day one, our mission has been clear: to help families navigate the complexities of senior care with honesty, empathy, and a deep understanding of what truly matters.
Mike’s journey into this work was personal. He and his siblings faced the emotional and challenging task of finding care for their mother, who was living with dementia related to Parkinson’s disease. That firsthand experience opened his eyes to just how overwhelming this process can be for families — and how urgently people need thoughtful guidance.
Determined to help others through this pivotal life transition, Mike began researching senior placement franchises. After careful evaluation, he chose Assisted Living Locators as his partner, recognizing the company’s integrity, comprehensive training, and values that aligned with his own. Following rigorous training and multiple certifications, Mike launched the Long Island franchise in October 2019.
Certified and Committed
Mike’s commitment to continued learning and excellence has earned him multiple industry certifications. He is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), a credential that is maintained through ongoing education and professional development. In addition, he holds a Certification in Dementia Care from Dementia Care Education, further equipping him to guide families facing memory-related conditions with both clinical insight and compassion.

Unlike traditional senior placement services that focus on immediate needs, Senior Planning takes a longer view. We begin by evaluating the underlying medical conditions affecting a senior, then develop a timeline of expected care needs. With this forward-thinking approach, we’re able to identify communities that not only meet current requirements but can also adapt to future care needs — often allowing seniors to remain in the same setting for 18–24 months or more.
