Our franchisee for Long Island and Queens, Mike McClernon, is a long-term resident of Glen Cove in Nassau County. He knows all the Assisted Living and Memory Care communities here on Long Island and Queens because he has been in them all, touring families and helping them find the best fit in our 80+ local Communities. He chose to enter the Senior Placement business after watching his own parents age and need additional services.
Mike is part of a national company, Assisted Living Locators (ALL). Nationally, ALL places over 2,000 seniors each year and is one of the most experienced placement agencies nationwide. Our company was founded 15 years ago by a registered nurse named Angela Olea. Angela, who remains the President of Assisted Living Locators, dealt with many families facing the uncertainty of how to care for aging parents, and trying to figure out what the next step should be. She was frustrated by the lack of resources to help guide caregivers – and seniors themselves – on making the right living and care decisions. She saw firsthand how difficult and emotional these decisions could be, and she knew that the solution was much more complicated than just moving Mom into the nearest facility.
Angela’s unique approach was immediately successful and led her to establish Assisted Living Locators. She understood that by offering a way to better match seniors with the living solution that was best for them, she was providing families with a valuable service that helped reduce time-consuming processes and minimize stress.
Assisted Living Locators is a nationwide network of over 100 highly-trained senior care advisors who work together to help families and their seniors provide a healthy and safe environment that will allow seniors to thrive.
