The community blends private apartments with shared spaces, creating a warm environment for both independent and assisted residents. Those interested in memory support can explore the Memory Care program and see how it fits within Senior Living Nassau County.
This is one of the Bristal’s newest communities, and as is typical in new communities the population in both Assisted and Memory tends to be slightly younger and less needy than communities that have a longer tenure. The apartments in Memory are all identical – all medium sized studios and are set up in a “figure 8” arrangement. The advantage of this design, of course, is that seniors with dementia have relatively long walkways but cannot get lost. An additional design element here are the two secure courtyards, reserved for the private use of the Memory Care area – both of which are inside the Figure 8 design.
